Our History

CBC was started in 1980. A collective group of faith filled individuals sought to help those in need in Craig, Colorado. This idea was first made a reality in a small garage. Even though the location of The Community Budget Center has changed several times throughout the years, the purpose remains the same: to help people in our community.

CBC has grown steadily over the years and has a dedicated storefront and community location at 555 Yampa Avenue, in Craig, CO. CBC is a non-denominational, Christ-centered charity that seeks to assist people in need by providing resources and support for shelter, rent, medical transportation,  utility assistance, temporary medical needs, clothing, household goods, and community support.

CBC has an involved and dedicated Board of Directors that helps push our vision and goals forward. Our current assistance funds are provided by store sales, Moffat County United Way and Energy Outreach Colorado. Our retail store front provides gently used options for clothing, cosmetics, household items, sports gear, and many other essentials. 

Our commitment to providing readily available items to the community has allowed comfort and care to those in need. 
The Community Budget Center would not be possible without physical items and monetary donations from our community members and partners. 
We look forward to continuing to provided support, essentials and compassion to those in need in Northwest Colorado and the Yampa Valley.

DONATIONS

Our company accept household items and gently used clothing donations from the community. We also accept items that can be repurposed for those in need. 
All donations are sorted, priced and displayed in store. The sorted products then are sold at a lower than standard price that reflects an alternative solution for families in need. 

All profits from these donation sales are then used for our other support systems for families in need. 

We believe in giving back to the community and supporting families right where they are.

Direct Support

Community Budget Center understands that some individuals would rather give directly to the cause we back. Cash, check and ACH donations are all accepted in store
